The Cabinet had before them the draft Conclusions of a Meeting of the Committee of Home Affairs in regard to the China Indemnity (Amendment) Bill, 1926 (H.A.C. 15th Conclusions (26)) containing the following recommendation is
"That in view of the fact that the question of the Chinese situation is at present under the consideration of the Prime Minister's Committee on China, it is not, in the opinion of the Home Affairs Comittee, desirable that the China Indemnity (Amendment) Bill should be proceeded with at the present time." The Cabinet accepted the above
recommendation.
